Kenmore ovens use two, spring-loaded hinges to attached the door to the oven. The hinges are designed to close the oven door from a partially opened position. Bt878 tv card video capture software reviews. The oven door can be removed for a variety of purposes, such as cleaning or replacing the glass, servicing the oven or replacing the hinges. The door can be a little tricky to install if the hinges are not locked in place prior to installation. However, it is easily accomplished if you know the correct procedure.

Place the oven door on a flat surface with the hinges pointing up. Push the hinges flat so they are extended and pointing away from the bottom edge of the door.

Rotate the hinge locking tabs back toward the door until they engage the locking notches on the inside of the door. This keeps the hinges extended and in the correct position for installation.

Insert the hinges into their slots along the lower front face of the oven. Ensure the notch at the bottom of each hinge engages the metal bracket at the bottom of the hinge slot.

Open the oven door completely to take pressure off the locking tabs. Rotate the locking tabs forward, away from the door.

Open and close the oven door to test the hinges. The oven door should lower slowly and not fall down when opened.
