The Blob (1988) Review:
This is a remake of the 1958’s movie of the same name. To be honest, I’ve always had a problem with that movie that most consider a “classic”. Because of its cult status, the first time I watched it I was really expecting something either hugely entertaining or, at least, kitsch and somehow funny in the vein of Attack of the Killer Clown. Instead, I got a boring B movie. There are a few scenes in which the blob attacks which are pretty cool, but they are extremely scarce (you can almost see all of them if you watch the trailer). I understand that The Blob can get funny if you are hugely into B-movies, or simply in the right mood, but I personally have a hard time recommending it.
